Altogether, we greeted and advised more than 660 interested visitors from 33 countries. A great many sales were concluded at the Trade Fair and the specialist public’s enthusiasm for our new range of HARTL CRUSHER products has ensured a uniquely successful Conexpo Con/Agg 2014.

This internationally acclaimed design competition has been running since 1955. the 'Red Dot' name has become a seal of quality that is known around the world. Only the best products are awarded this honour. Mindful of its motto 'In search of excellence', the jury of the red dot award:product design searches the world for the best products and projects of the year - in 2013, too. This year, 1,865 manufacturers, designers and architects in 54 countried have entered their best products and projects in the hope of securing the coveted red dot seal of quality. So it was the largest red dot jury of all time that gathered to test, discuss and assess 4662 entries. The quality of the entries was so high that it was very difficult for the 37 acclaimed experts to come to a decision. Only the most exceptional products were considered for the much-coveted award for ascetic form and sustainability. Naturally, this achievement must be celebrated properly: on 1st July 2013 there will be a glamourous prize giving ceremony for this year's red dot award, for product design. Traditionally this evening event in the Alto Theatre in Essen is attended by more than 1200 international guests from the worlds of design, economics, politics and media, who come to enjoy the red dot Gala.
HARTL designed this exceptional product and the entire family of products together with product and industrial designer Rainer Atzlinger, RDD industrial design.
Its dynamic lines are deliberately designed to reflect innovation and technical know-how and give the product its modern look. Access for service and maintenance is ergonomically enhanced. The middle service hatch swivels upwards to allow free access to all the relevants maintenance stations. The 3D moulded lateral covering panels are made of similar lightweight material with optimal strength and are easily removed. The streamlined shape is specially designed to offer the least resistance to the uptake of rocks and materials and to give the bucket crusher its characteristic Hartl outline.

BAUMA 2013 sets the scene for brothers Alexander and Dominik Hartl to inform the crushing and screening world about their new venture as well as to introduce their entire product range publically; it consists of no fewer than eight different bucket crushers and screeners, complete with value-adding options.
The brand name HARTL CRUSHER stands for a high-value, innovative range of products that combines over 40 years' experience and innovation in the field of rock crushers and screeners produced by the Hartl family. By applying their unique technology to an extremely robust structure, they have integrated a jaw crusher into the form of an excavator bucket that guarantees high performance and reliability in the field of crushing and separation of natural stone and recycling material on site. Low running costs and environmentally friendliness are key words and formed an integral part of the design process.
The bucket crusher that Hartl has developed is a top-quality, sturdy jaw crusher that can be mounted on and connected to an excavator (or similar machine) by means of a quick coupling system. The crushing and screening units are powered by the excavator's hydraulic circuits. Thanks to the unique Hartl "QUATTRO" movement, these crushers deliver a very high average performance rate with minimal wear, and a quality cubical end product with a minimal percentage of oversized material. The movement of the swing jaw plate is different to conventional crushers, which have a parallel motion. The Hartl system generates an aggressive figure eight motion that allows crushing to begin high up on the jaw faces and also creates a post-crush in the lower section of the crusher chamber as the material leaves the crusher. The result is a constant high quality, cubical material. Independent laboratory tests confirm that the HARTL design combined with the "fourfold" jaw movement results in up to 30% less flaky end product when compaired to "double" jaw movement systems.
